Internship Program

This program has been running since 2011 and it is something we are very proud of.  It is open to students in high school and college and other exercise/medical practitioners who seek to have an immersive view into the neuromuscular system.  This includes:

- Basic and complex anatomy

- Muscle function in all planes of movement

- In depth analysis of muscle contraction on the joint

- A break down of basic physics and mechanics that relate to the human body like no other academic program can

- Defining and understanding key terms like strength, mobility, flexibility, etc. and what they really mean in the medical/health and fitness world

- Establishing a knowledge base specific to the individuals desired focus

The program can be done for academic credit or for personal interests.  We have worked with many individuals and the various organizations they are connected with in their desired capacity as long as we can accommodate it.  It is tailored and focused to your desired level of achievement and knowledge.  We can do partial or full internship programs.

Previous Interns have gone on to many successful careers such as MAT practitioners, Trainers, Strength Coaches, Nurses, Medical Doctors, Physical/Occupational Therapists, and Athletic Trainers.  Nearly all have benefited greatly from the in depth detail that this internship provides.  Our interns have gone into programs at Stanford, Cal Berkley, UW, WSU, USC, and Oregon to name a few.  They nearly all have felt this intern program was a catalyst for success within their respective majors.

What Previous Interns Had to Say:

“I interned with Dan during the summer of my junior year of college. It was an incredible learning opportunity that formed the foundation for how I treat my patients today. The immense amount of information I learned about body mechanics, nutrition, and the neurological system gave me the opportunity to stand out and be successful in my career.”

-Kaylee Trocano, LAT/ATC

“The internship I completed with Dan Zeller truly helped me solidify the career I wanted to pursue. He created such a positive, uplifting environment for his athletes to grow in that it inspired me to want to do the same. As an Athletic Trainer I have learned that tailoring your plan of care towards an individual patient can be difficult, but Dan made it so easy with his methods. Through thorough evaluation, Dan can decipher the problem and realign the issue with muscle activation techniques. The specific neuromuscular patterns he was able to reactivate helped so many elite athletes not only recover from injury, but played a huge role in overall injury prevention as well. His clientele ranged from young middle school athletes who wanted a head start with their athletic careers, all the way to Division 1 athletes going onto professional careers. Watching and learning how to communicate with such a wide range of athletes from Dan himself helped me develop the ability to create a natural rapport with my own athletes now. Not only that, but he was able to articulate his plan of care perfectly to where the patient genuinely understood what was going on. Patient education is huge in this line of work to ensure rehabilitation adherence, and Dan nailed that aspect to a T. Dan Zeller is a true inspiration, and I would not be where I am today if it was not for him.”
