Injury Rehabilitation & Correction

Our Process: Thorough & Complete

An injury is a serious matter that needs special attention.  Whether it is acute or become chronic there are some important questions that need to be answered to fully recover:

  1.     Is the area that’s injured the REAL issue? Meaning is the area truly too weak to handle the stress placed on it?

Or is this area overworked and over-stressed from compensating for other weaker areas?

  2.     What degree of compensation is present in all affected areas vs proper and optimal function in all affected areas?

  3.     What structural limitations are present?

  4.     What is the intended use of the area vs the actual ability of the area?

  5.     What level of chronic vs acute inflammation is the individual experiencing?

These are some critical areas of evaluation for properly recovering from and preventing an injury.  If you are currently working with an injury and haven’t gotten the answers to these questions, or even begun trying to answer them before treatment, you need to reevaluate your situation.

Using MAT and other systems developed at The Collective ESPR to thoroughly evaluate your system, we can answer all of these questions to develop the most effective program possible.  During this evaluation we will determine what other modalities may be needed in addition to our program.  We can guide you through what types/how much you may need to fully recover as well.

Our Injury Rehabilitation & Correction Program here at Muscle Activation CDA utilizes the most effective Neuromuscular training technology currently available; Muscle Activation Techniques (MAT.)  With MAT we can successfully evaluate your systems level of efficiency and begin to correct the causation for most injuries.  Our Phased approach is outlined below:

PHASE 1: Neurological Optimization

A) Breakdown of Individual Biomechanics

- Complete analysis of joints, muscles, and neurology to asses bodily function and performance

B) Identification of Neuromuscular Compensations & Deficiencies

- Identifying the root cause of the issue and underlying mechanism for the symptom(s) of complaint

C) Correction of Neuromuscular Compensations & Deficiencies

- Treatment of the root cause will result in actual correction of the issue and optimal function will be restored

PHASE 2: Muscle Balancing

A) Implementation of Force on the Nervous System to Produce Results

- Utilizing all appropriate forms of resistance, producing maximal and optimal adaptation throughout the nervous system, increasing threshold and improving overall performance and health

B) Implementation of Force on the Muscle System to Maximize Efficiency

- Loading the muscles that have been weakened due to injury/compensation at appropriate levels to build strength, power, and endurance to maximize total muscle volume performance

C) Continued Education for the Individual to Maintain Ongoing Success

- Without understanding the process that led the dysfunction or the methods used to correct it, the risk of repeating the dysfunction by utilizing improper tools and methods will continue

PHASE 3: Skill/Sport Specific Training & Return to Play for Injury Protocol

A) Precise Targeting and Training of Performance of the body vs the Needs of the Recovered Area

- Understanding the level of fitness of the recovered area in order to improve it as quickly as possible to previous/optimal levels to ensure complete recovery
